Beech forest in Paradise

Beech forest in Paradise

New Zealand's South Island has many Beech forests which are absolutely gorgeous. This forest is in a place called Paradise, north of Queenstown. Not far from this place ( a short walk) was the site of the filming for a science in Lord of the Rings. For LotR fans, the scene in question was in the first movie, where Frodo walked off from the main group and Boromir followed him, wanting the ring. The place was called Parth Galen .It was also the place where Boromir met his end by the Orcs. The same forest was also used by Peter Jackson for scenes of Lothlrien, fairest forest realm of the Elves remaining in Middle-earth. The tree stump looks like it belongs in Middle Earth
